Generally, you may return an item you purchased from MARKET.live within 10 days of delivery.  However, some items are not returnable, so it’s very important that you check the item’s product description before you buy.

Description

Have a ball... or three! This heirloom-quality hand carved wooden ornament is a stunning example of the fine wood lacquer craftwork practiced in Southern India for generations. The ornaments are made out of soft wood called 'ankudu' and colored with natural dyes derived from seeds, lacquer, bark, roots and leaves.

This is special because... 

On the banks of the river Varaha in the Vishakhapatnam district of Andhra Pradesh, sits a small village called Etikoppaka long celebrated for their lacquerware toy tradition. 

The 400 year old turned wood lacquerware craft has been struggling since the advent of mass produced machine-made toys. On the top of that, the artisans have taken a hard hit during the COVID-19 lockdown.

Chinnayyachari, the Master Artisan of Etikoppaka, has handcrafted these ornaments with care and precision. He stands as the face of the artisans grappling with the financial fallout of the COVID-19 pandemic persisting throughout India, urging customers to buy at least one toy per household to make it through the pandemic.
